I meant to write a more serious post before this (lots of updates to the Second Life community), but I have been feeling a bit under the weather. So, I will ease into it with a fun post for now.

In Second Life (and many other places on the Internet), I am a small, fluffy, cat that was created by magic mixed with stardust. I am a cat that loves to explore, chase random things that catch my interest, and take photos of myself doing random things. I think I should do that more often - it's such a calming experience.

A contrast to real life, Second Life allows me to explore what could be, what my imagination can create, and what I can do with the tools available to me. It's a place where I can be a cat, a dragon, a pegasus pony, or anything else I can think of. It's a place where I can be me, without the limits of reality, and explore aspects of myself I couldn't otherwise, for whatever reason.

I have learned a lot about myself through my time in Second Life. I have learned that it's actually not that hard to program (other than when it is), that I enjoy making art, and what it's like to be closer than ever before to people all around the world. I was able to start a career in programming due to to the skills I learned in Second Life. I have met a lot of interesting and unique people that I wouldn't have otherwise, who have taught me a lot of things and encouraged me to keep going and to keep making things.

On the internet, I am a cat. In real life, I am a human being. But in both places, I am me. And I am happy with the person I am and am becoming.
